Race Recap: Chicago Half Marathon

Chicago Half Marathon

The fall 13.1 half marathon was actually a great one. I am not going to lie, I was not prepared training-wise and I went out for big meals both Friday & Saturday before the race, so I was expecting to puke/pass out or not finish… so when I DID finish and never stopped running, I felt great about myself!

The Weather:

  • The weather was chilly but only about 50’s or so, so great once we started running

The Course:

  • This course was honestly hard to get to – we took an uber, and LSD closed at 6:45 am so we were there by 6:30 am, hella early. It was a bit windy, but how cool is it to run ON Lake Shore Drive!

The Gear:

  • I rocked my Ballou Skies t-shirt , brought some Nuun with me to energize beforehand & afterwards and still rocked shorts and my Nuun headsweats hat and Nuun sunglasses (per usual).
Race Stats:
  • Time: 02:10:12
  • Overall: 3,580 of 8,193
  • Female:1,556 out of4,665
  • 25-29: 390 out of 1,064

PS these medals were INSANE… It was a very fun race, great season to do it in! Up next? Some Halloween 5k in Pilsen!
